Why Your Phone Battery Drains So Fast — And How to Fix It
Feb 1, 2025

Is your phone battery draining quicker than you'd like? You're not alone. Most smartphones are powered by lithium-ion batteries, and their performance naturally dips after 300–500 full charging cycles. That means if you're charging your phone daily, you might see a drop in battery health within a year.
iPhone users can monitor battery health by heading to Settings → Battery → Battery Health & Charging. If your battery health dips below 80%, it's a signal that you might need a replacement to maintain full-day performance.
Another hidden culprit? Background apps and push notifications. Apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, and Maps often run in the background, sipping battery life. Enable Low Power Mode or Battery Optimization (on iPhone and Android) to reduce unnecessary drain.
Also, avoid charging your phone all the way to 100% or letting it fall to 0%. Keeping your charge between 20% and 80% helps prolong battery life. And yes, using original chargers (or at least certified ones) makes a big difference.
Changing Batteries directly can cause an error message to pop up, to get around the error message you need specific tools and software to ensure that you can bypass the error message as well as boost the battery health to 100%. Boosting requires software to be flashed into the phone, hence we ask the customer to take a backup/we take the backup for them, before battery swapping.
If your phone still dies too fast, your battery might be due for a replacement. At Reepaired, we offer original battery replacements, with 100% battery with 3-month warranty, so you’re powered up without worry.
